Background: A National Sectoral Partnership Project

The project involved working in collaboration with partners from across the sector to answer this question. Each partner explored this topic in their own context, in addition to contributing to the partner project. In this manner, ‘Next Steps’ adds value to sectoral partners’ work in this area, as well as helping to align system and sectoral decision-making through the synthesis of the partner contributions.

The work of individual partners within their own context will be enhanced by learning and sharing their experience and collectively articulating what it might mean for how teaching and learning can be enhanced and supported. The partners recognise that though the impact of the pandemic is ongoing, examination of the experience of teaching and learning is essential at this moment and as part of our future vision.

The Next Steps partners are

Partners also include the Specialist Colleges [Marino Institute of Education (MIE), Mary Immaculate College (MIC), National College of Art and Design (NCAD), Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM), St. Angela’s College, Sligo (SAC), St. Patrick’s, Carlow College (CC), St Patricks College, Maynooth (SPCM)]. The HEA, DFHERIS, TUI and IFUT will also be consulted over the duration of the project.
