Collaborative Resource Sharing
We are conscious that many of those who teach and learn in Irish higher education are currently facing new challenges in light of the recent closure of higher education institutions and the transfer of much teaching, learning and assessment online. Following consultation with representatives across institutions, we have developed a number of targeted resources to ensure the best knowledge and expertise is underpinning decisions affecting student learning.
Irish National Digital Experience (INDEx) Survey
The findings of the Irish National Digital Experience (INDEx) Survey were launched by the Minister for Higher Education, Mary Mitchell O’Connor, on Thursday 7 May 2020. The INDEx Survey saw 25,484 students and 4,445 staff who teach across 32 Irish higher education institutions help to inform and influence the future enhancement of digital teaching and learning in Irish higher education.
Open Courses for Professional Development
This new interface is designed as a ‘one stop shop’ for those teachers in higher education who are interested in furthering their professional development. The range of open-access short courses available through the interface are the result of work by National Forum staff and by higher education colleagues across the sector. As such, this space reflects the collaborative commitment of the higher education community to ongoing professional development towards positive individual, institutional and sectoral change.
