Overview

This CUA initiative is titled Re-imagining Assessment and Feedback for Student Success and involves GMIT, IT Sligo and LYIT.

Total CUA budget €90,000 euro (includes €30,000 from GMIT) Each institute is contributing €30,000 each from their SATLE budget.

The initiative is co-led by teaching and learning leads in the CUA and includes:

Dr Carina Ginty in GMIT, Dr Niamh Plunkett and Gavin Clinch in IT Sligo and Dr Deirdre McClay in LYIT.

This initiative aligns with four of the student success enablers including:
• Engagement and Student Partnership
• Professional Development and the Centrality of Staff Who Teach
• Evidence-based Decision-making
• Assessment and Feedback

This initiative will provide for three work packages:

WP1: Initiative Co-ordination

WP2: Assessment Review and Development of Assessment Strategies

WP3: Dissemination and Exploitation of the initiative
