Overview
Learning Enhancement Projects (LEP) for LYIT will be launched with an information seminar which will be held in October 2019. The seminar will introduce staff and students to the LEP call for 2020 and will also provide an opportunity to learn about similar initiatives in other institutions. Details of the LEP together with the LEP expression of interest form will be provided in the Teaching and Learning area of the LYIT Website. LYIT will allocate funding to support small and larger scale teaching and learning enhancement initiatives.
Funding of between €1,000 and €5,000 is available and applications are welcome from LYIT staff and students. Applications may be made on an individual or a collective basis.
Expressions of interest for LEP will open on 4 November and close on 15 November. Dr Flanagan will provide drop in support for staff and students who are developing proposals.
Expressions of interest will be evaluated by a panel drawn from the LYIT project team. The review panel will also include an external reviewer. Evaluation will be based upon a published range of weighted criteria including alignment with National Forum strategic priorities and LYIT Strategic Plan 2019-2023.
Proposals from staff and students who are new to teaching and learning enhancement will be particularly welcome. The decision of the panel will be made in early December 2019 allowing projects to commence from January 2020.
On-going support during the projects will be provided through LYIT’s Teaching, Learning and Student Engagement Office.
