VR-HEd:SETS – Virtual Reality in Higher Education: Sharing Educational Tips and Stories

This lunchtime webinar series – led by Dublin City University and supported by the National Forum for Teaching and Learning – seeks to share practical educational insights into the application of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) and other forms of immersive learning (IL) in higher education.
Speakers from different disciplines in different institutions will share their experiences of immersive learning technologies, discussing their affordances, highlighting practical considerations, challenges, and illustrating the impact on learners.
The objective of the webinar series is to provide a collaborative, community-oriented space in which all those interested in VR, AR, MR and IL more generally can share and learn from one another. With a focus on the educational application of IL technologies, participants will gain an understanding of how and why IL facilitates learning in and across different disciplines. This will also potentially provide opportunities for synergy and collaboration between participants and institutions.
Whether you are a novice or an expert in immersive learning, whether your work is focused in this area or it is simply an area of interest or intrigue, there is something for all to pick up at these lunchtime webinars.
