Call for Submissions: 2nd Edition of the Compendium of Undergraduate Practice-Based Research
In 2025, the Faculty of Arts & Humanities at TU Dublin proudly launched the inaugural Compendium of Undergraduate Practice-Based Research, a collection of thirteen cross-disciplinary case studies showcasing the vibrant, embedded research culture within our undergraduate curriculum.
The Compendium highlights TU Dublin’s commitment to practice-based learning as a cornerstone of the undergraduate experience. Each case study reflects active learning goals that enrich student engagement, deepen disciplinary understanding, and strengthen the connection between theory and practice.
The Community of Practice (CoP) for Undergraduate Practice-Based Research was established in 2023 to support experiential and theory-to-practice learning across the faculty. It is now a thriving, multi-disciplinary collaboration that explores and shares authentic learning through open-ended, creative inquiry.
