Bold and Curious Teaching’ will be delivered through two rounds of seed funding.
November 2019
An Open Call to all staff focused upon ‘learning enhancement within and across disciplines’ under the following principles from NCAD’s Academic Ethos:
Learning enhancement at NCAD is enriched when the practices of art, design, education & visual culture combine. Teaching at NCAD is led by the conviction that creative practice not only supports society and individuals to understand the nature and effects of those changes: it plays an important role in shaping the environments in which we live and the cultures we share. All creative actions have effects. Teaching at NCAD supports students to develop the ability to read and respond to the contemporary context in ways that are confident, informed and dynamic.
A Targeted Call focused upon ‘the professional development of all those who teach’ and addressed to PhD Supervisors, inviting collaboration to identify a CPD programme for delivery in 2020.
April 2020
An Open Call to all academic staff, and to student/staff collaborations, focused upon ‘student success’ under the following principle from NCAD’s Academic Ethos:
There is no ideal NCAD student. We embrace openness and difference, and empower our graduates to make meaningful creative, ethical and economic contributions to society. We support the development of the flexibility and resilience required for success in whatever paths our graduates choose to follow.
A Targeted Call inviting collaborative learning enhancement proposals from PhD students and supervisors focused upon ‘learning enhancement within and across disciplines’.
