Overview

The Learning Analytics LITE initiative is being hosted by the Centre for Digital Education, which falls under the Office of the Vice-President for Learning and Teaching, UCC.

The overarching aim of this initiative is to enhance the design, development and implementation of teaching practices in the University, through the analysis of student learning analytics. This analysis carries an ultimate goal of enhancing student engagement and performance.

This initiative is driven by enabler four of the SATLE fund: Evidence-based Decision-making. However, through its implementation it will also enable the development of Policies and Practices, Engagement and Student Partnership and the Professional Development of Staff Who Teach.

The initiative will use the funding to hire a Research Support Officer, who will liaise with contributors from across the four colleges in the University. The proposed outputs for the initiative are a position paper, website and training initiatives for staff.
