The Lived Experience of Supporting University Wellbeing
25th April @ 8:00 am - 20th June @ 5:00 pm
As part of the HEA’s ongoing work on the progression of the Healthy Campus Charter and Framework and the National Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Framework we are running a project to capture the experience of implementing both these Frameworks and student and staff health and wellbeing through our project ‘The Lived Experience of Supporting University Wellbeing’.
We are inviting a diverse range of staff in institutions to participate in this project to inform our work nationally on health and wellbeing, including decision making and strategy. All staff members are invited to participate and can include those working in student services, student health, HR, academic, senior leadership and management, administration, professional, students’ union, facilities, catering, health and safety, library staff, sports officers to name just a few.
The project will run over eight weeks Thursday April 25th to Thursday June 20th, 2024. Participants will be asked to log a story every two weeks through an online survey tool known as ‘Sensemaker’, this will take approximately 10 – 15 minutes. Every two weeks the story prompt will change slightly, and a new survey link will be disseminated.
The project uses a tool known as ‘Sensemaker’, developed by the Cynefin Company. This distributed ethnographic tool is a ‘story collector’ that offers a unique data collection method. ‘Sensemaker’ is designed to gather and analyse large amounts of qualitative data in a structured way.
