Practices in the disciplines – opportunities and challenges of digital education
17th November 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
This online interactive seminar and workshop will feature a keynote presentation by Dr.Peter Bryant of the University of Sydney (Associate Dean Education & Associate Professor Business Education), that will explore and reflect on how university teaching and learning approaches required pedagogical change due to the move online. The future implications for digital education practices, across disciplines, will also be discussed. The keynote will be followed by three interactive, faculty-focused breakout sessions where Trinity academics from the respective faculty will give a short “lightning” presentation (10 mins) on a digital teaching/assessment approach that worked well for them (taking into consideration subject pedagogies) and how it might be rolled out in their discipline. An activity will follow within each breakout session where participants will get an opportunity to further explore challenges and implications for their own teaching and learning practices and disciplinary contexts (20 mins) and consider next steps (10 mins). Speaker presentations will be recorded for future access.
