Integrating the Gender Dimension into Teaching & Learning

This event will involve developing an awareness around embedding gender equality across teaching and learning for academics in teacher education. The seminar will involve presentations from Lecturers and Students from Mary Immaculate College, Maynooth University and IT Sligo exploring strategies they use and have experienced on embedding gender equality across teaching and learning. The session hopes to develop a network of practitioners that would like to support each other in developing curricula that incorporates gender awareness, equality and diversity.

The interactive session will involve reflections and knowledge sharing activities whereby educators share ideas and experiences and good practices through open discussion and dialogue.

This event has been funded by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning for the Valuing Ireland’s Teaching and Learning (VIT&L) initiative running from Monday 8th – 12th and through the month of November.
