Folláine le Chéile: The National Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Framework

The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is pleased to invite you to the official launch of the revised National Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Framework, Folláine le Chéile on Tuesday, October 13th, 2026.
Time: 10.30am – 12.30pm
Venue: Herbert Park Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin
The event will include a panel discussion with key stakeholders, and an overview of the framework review and development process from Dr Jessica Surdey and Dr Deirdre Byrne, who led the revision of the framework in collaboration with the higher education sector and other stakeholders, and remarks from Marie Clarke, Chair of the National Forum Student Engagement and Teaching & Learning Committee (SETLE) and Dr Ross Woods of the HEA.
The launch will provide an opportunity to learn more about the revised Framework, its key priorities, and its role in supporting student mental health and wellbeing across higher education.
