Munster Technological University’s (MTU) Teaching and Learning Unit held the ‘TLU Works’ events on 26 & 27 March at MTU Bishopstown Campus, Cork. The events highlighted the incredible SATLE funded work of MTU’s educators and showcased MTU’s DELTA and SATLE Impact Award recipients.
Event Launch: 26 March
The MC for the events launch was Catherine Murphy, MTU Academic Lead, and featured a welcome address by Professor Christine Cross, MTU VP for Academic Affairs & Registrar, a keynote address from MTU alumnus Dr James O’Sullivan, Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence, HEA, and insights from Marese Bermingham, MTU Head of AnSEO – The Student Engagement Office, Arts Office and Teaching & Learning Unit.
This was followed by a celebration of the DELTA and SATLE Impact Awards. On the day, key learnings and positive impacts were shared by MTU’s Tom Broderick & Dr Cian O’Neill, Elaine O’Brien & Dr Katie Power, Dr Ana Cruz-Garcia & Dr Helen McGuirk, Shane Cronin & Dr Gearóid Ó Súilleabháin.
Workshops: 26 – 27 March
The SATLE funded Learning Enhancement Projects (LEPs) and Reusable Learning Resources (RLRs) initiatives delivered 3 interactive, thought-provoking workshops on Education for Sustainable Development, Academic Integrity and Digital Transformation. These LEPs and RLRs teams are helping to shape the future of teaching and learning at MTU and beyond.
