Following the completion of her second term as inaugural chair of the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning, Professor Moore stepped down as chair this week. Sarah’s extraordinary impact as the first Chair of the Board was acknowledged by many across the sector at her farewell dinner on September 12th 2018.
Deputy Chair of the Board, Dr Joseph Ryan, paid tribute to Sarah’s solid commitment to the work of the Forum saying, “It has been an education to work with such a fine and passionate advocate and to observe the enormous energy that Sarah has devoted to fostering and embedding first the concept and now the fact of a national forum devoted to the enhancement of teaching and learning. It has been a privilege, Sarah, and on behalf of myself and the Board I would like to thank you and wish you ongoing success for your next chapter”.
His sentiments were echoed in messages from the HEA and Padraig Walsh from QQI and from the Minister for Higher Education, Mary Mitchell O’Connor, T.D on behalf of herself and the Department of Education and Skills.
The process of appointing a new chair will commence in the coming weeks.
