Launch of IADT’s VITAL Programme. Opening of ‘What makes a Great Educator/Learner?’ Installations in the Student Canteen. Live Event.

IADT has a vibrant and creative student body, supported by an excellent academic staff. The prompts: ‘What Makes a Great Educator?’ and ‘What Makes a Great Student?’ will be given in real-time and in an online survey.  The real-time prompts will be on the glass walls strategically placed on campus, visible to all students and staff for contributions.  The installations are documented.

The project will promote discussion and reflection on the value of T&L by both the students and staff; the public nature of the work will enhance the celebration of the work.

Additionally IADT will be highlighting the LEP projects from 2019 and the new proposed work incoming from this year’s call.

Focus of the event

• Strategic institutional discussions about the place of teaching and learning within local policy and decision-making and how the value of teaching and learning can be strengthened
• Sharing and valuing ongoing teaching and learning enhancement work
• Gathering views and experiences from those who learn, teach and/or lead on the shift to online/remote learning and considering what has been learned for the future about how teaching and learning can/should be valued
• Leveraging partnerships between those who teach and their students, as well as the wider educational community, to foster collective advocacy in strengthening the value placed on teaching and learning
