The call for applications for the National Seminar Series 2020-21 is now open.
Established in 2014, the National Seminar Series aims to provide space, in local contexts through local seminars, for connections to be established between colleagues in higher education around shared research and practice interests. National and international experts are also often invited to provide insights on important issues. In its first six years, the National Seminar Series saw over 400 seminars organised across Irish higher education institutions.
Applications are now invited from members of the higher education community who would like the opportunity to organise a seminar in person or online and collaborate with colleagues to progress key topics in the realm of teaching and learning enhancement. Seminars can be face-to-face or online. There are four funding streams in the 2020-21 call, in line with the key strategic priorities of the National Forum 2019-21:
- The Professional Development of All Those Who Teach
- Teaching and Learning in a Digital World
- Teaching and Learning Enhancement Within and Across Disciplines
- Student Success
Please note: In addition to seminars awarded funding during the 2020/21 series, it is expected that up to 40 seminars from the 2019/20 series, deferred due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will also take place during the period 1 October 2020- 30 June 2021.
The application deadline is 5pm on Friday, 26 June.
