A celebration event took place on Friday 4 October to recognise those who have completed Erasmus+ DELTA mobilities during the first year of the Erasmus+ DELTA initiative. Six staff who had embarked on mobilities and earned their Erasmus+ DELTA badges travelled to Dublin for the celebration event. The event provided an opportunity to share learnings and experiences with colleagues from other institutions. The staff, from DCU, IADT, UCC and UL, had embarked on mobilities to the Czech Republic, Finland, Romania, Spain and the UK. Other staff who embarked on Erasmus+ DELTA mobilities in the last year, from IADT, UCC, CIT, NUIG and NCAD, who were not present on the day, had travelled to Italy, Croatia, Finland, the Netherlands and the UK.
Erasmus+ DELTA supports the professional development of staff through international mobility and recognises disciplinary excellence in learning, teaching and assessment (DELTA). It is a partnership initiative between the National Forum and the International Section of the HEA. Building on the HEA’s existing Erasmus+ mobility process, Erasmus+ DELTA provides national recognition, in the form of a National Forum digital badge, to those staff who use their period abroad to enhance teaching and learning within their disciplines.
Erasmus+ DELTA is available to all who teach in Irish higher education. For more information, contact your international office or visit www.teachingandlearning.ie/ErasmusDELTA
