SHEILA (Supporting Higher Education to Incorporate Learning Analytics) is an EU-funded project that aims ‘to assist European universities to become more mature users and custodians of digital data about their students as they learn online.’ The SHEILA project team have launched a MOOC that gives an overview of the field of Learning Analytics and introduces participants to the key considerations in developing an effective institutional strategy. This three-week course opens on 20th November 2018 and will run until 31st January 2019. Course designers include Professor Dragan Gašević of Australia’s Monash University, who was a recent keynote speaker at the National Forum’s symposium on Institutional Approaches to Using Data for Enhancing Student Success
