Comprehensive Professional Development online resource launched by National Forum for Enhancement of Teaching and Learning.
The National Forum today, 1 November 2017, launched its Professional Development Portal, a one-stop shop to support all who teach in higher education to engage with the national PD Framework. The portal currently hosts a new suite of materials and resources relating to 15 professional development open-access programmes. These will supply those interested in facilitating digital badge programmes in their Institutions with the expertly designed content and guidance on how to deliver a programme of their choice and issue a nationally recognised digital badge to successful participants. It also provides marketing information and a short informative video on each of the Digital Badge Programmes for those who may be interested in participating.
The PD Portal is an evolving resource and new materials will be added as it progresses.
The suite of 15 open-access programmes includes:
PACT – Commitment to PD, Reflective Practice in Teaching, Programme-Focused Assessment, Universal Design in Teaching and Learning, Programme Design, Entrepreneurship Education, Academic Writing in HE, Developing Intercultural Awareness, Digital Policy Development in T&L, Enabling Student Volunteering, Student Engagement, Teaching Strategies for (New) Lecturers, Postgraduate Research Supervision, Mentoring in Teaching and Learning , Getting Started with Online Teaching.
