This is a hybrid event with both in-person and online tickets available. \nModerated by award-winning educator and researcher\, Dr John O’Donoghue from Trinity College Dublin\, this panel will convene a range of experts in public science and science communication to consider the importance of education and public engagement for promoting ‘Good Science’ and how we can help facilitate accessible community engagement in science and research. DESCRIPTION:The Environmental Humanities Working Group of the Irish Humanities Alliance will host an interdisciplinary workshop exploring the role of the Arts and Humanities in shaping research\, teaching and public policy in relation to the climate and environmental emergencies of our times. \nKey themes and concerns that will be explored on the day within the format of roundtable discussions are: Teaching and Pedagogical Practice\, Decolonisation and Sustainability Discourse\, Methods and Disciplines\, and Irish Environmental Futures. \nThe workshop is aimed at Arts and Humanities researchers\, scholars and educators working across the island of Ireland in any cognate disciplinary field\, and early career scholars are particularly welcome to attend. \nFor more information go to Irish Environmental Humanities: An Interdisciplinary Conversation.
