Technology Enabled Assessment: Evidence-based Discussion

This workshop presents the preliminary findings of a National Forum IRC funded research project (carried out by a research team in TCD). Enhancing Policies and Procedures to Support Assessment OF/FOR/AS Learning

This workshop, draws on the findings from two National Forum projects, to encourage a debate on: What current institutional assessment policies are available and to what extent are these enabling? How can we develop and guide sustainable institutional assessment policies?
Assessment Symposium: Challenges and Enablers of Change
31 October 2017 | 10.00am – 4.00pm | Wood Quay Venue, Dublin City Council, Dublin
This symposium presents an overview of the challenges and enablers from the Assessment theme, including: assessment load; programme assessment approaches; grading issues; developing students as partners; work-based assessment. The speakers include Professor Tony Harland (University of Otago, New Zealand) on ‘Assessment Arms Race: Slow scholarship and overassessment’
