As part of its work plan, the National Forum funded a total of seven focused research projects on key areas of interest in Irish higher education. All of these projects related to key aspects of teaching and learning enhancement. Projects were conducted within focused time frames (6 months) and were scoped to operate within a specific time frame (Nov. 2014-May 2015) and with a budgetary limit of Euro25,000.
Each project was designed to engage in tightly scoped research around current issues of specific interest to the sector. Further, these projects contributed to the Forum’s aim to provide strong evidence-based resources of use to the sector, all with a focus on teaching and learning enhancement. Each project culminated in a published report and was disseminated via forum insights, key recommendations for the sector and follow-up actions, which where appropriate were facilitated by the Forum and its ongoing work plan.
