Event Details:

The focus of this seminar is to:

• Examine and champion effective Maths and Stats support

• Explore the place of on-line/web based maths and stats support/e- assessment tools

• Review CIT’s e-assessment pilot in Maths

• Provide a hands on experience of e-assessment for participants

• Enhance existing provision by providing a forum for exploring challenges, exchanging ideas and disseminating practices

• Create an opportunity for networking and initiation of collaborative relationships.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Examine best practice for supporting students Maths transition into Third Level.
  2. Evaluate the possibilities of on-line /web based Maths Support and Assessment
  3. Demonstrate benefits of online Maths resources to institutions, staff and students.
  4. Consider barriers to introducing sustainable and effective e-assessment.
  5. Use online methods to enhance and support Maths learning.
  6. Use an accessible and proven online Maths assessment tool
