Event Details:
The Irish Variety in Chemistry Education meeting is a held every two years and aims to share good practice in chemistry teaching in higher education in Ireland and beyond. This year’s meeting is scheduled to be held in Dublin Institute of Technology on Tuesday 6th May. Participants are invited to submit abstracts for talks (15 minutes) by Friday 18th April 2014. The meeting is sponsored by the National Teaching and Learning Forum and the Royal Society of Chemistry (Republic of Ireland Local section), and attendance is free.
Learning Outcomes:
- Identify new methods and ideas for incorporating technology into teaching
- Develop an understanding of the factors regarding transition from second to third level
- Identify strategies for curriculum design for bridging college to workplace
