Event Details:
This is a one-day workshop whose aim is to develop and enhance pedagogic research skills among academics in STEM Disciplines. This event will consist of a mixture of plenary sessions, hands-on workshops, and discussion sessions with opportunities provided for individual support on a range of topics. It will be led by experts from the STEM disciplines and will address topics such as: developing research questions and methodologies; developing funding proposals; writing for publication; effective dissemination techniques and practices; and engaging in reflective practice.
Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Write and frame pedagogic research questions;
- Collect and analyse data using qualitative and quantitative research methodologies;
- Recognise and respond to key methodological and ethical issues in educational research;
- Write for publication in relevant journals;
- Develop grant proposals in this area.
