SUMMARY:Hybrid-e Dissemination Event | Sustainable hybrid education: building a community of practice to rise to the needs of the future
DESCRIPTION:Hybrid-e is an Erasmus project being run jointly by UCD\, the University of Amsterdam\, Aristotle University Thessaloniki and KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.\n\nHybrid-e’s chief objective is to support universities navigating through this transformative phase in education after the Covid-19 pandemic and to encourage the embrace of more permanent forms of  hybrid teaching models: a mix of on-campus teaching and the use of digital technology foronline\, hybrid and blended components. \n\nFor this event in August\, UCD is seeking Case Studies from Higher Education which demonstrate and reflect on blended\, hybrid & online approaches to learning. Each case study should map the presenter’s response to the post-pandemic change and consider sustainable and inclusive education for the future. \nUCD invites you to complete one of the Case Study Templates here and return to David.Jennings@ucd.ie or Eoin.McEvoy@ucd.ie. \n\nFor more information on the project and our event visit www.ucd.ie/hybrid-e/ \nThis event will provide a keynote on the future of Higher Education\, a series of workshops showcasing practice and resources aggregated by the project team\, and a plenary session exploring the impact on staff and learners. \nOur keynote will be provided by: \nDr Jeremy Knox: Co-director of the Centre for Research in Digital Education (Data Society) and a Lecturer in Digital Education at the University of Edinburgh. \nHYBRID-E’s seeks to achieve the following specific objectives: \n\nequipping teaching staff to successfully steer their communities into a state of responsible digital transformation towards hybrid learning;\nsupporting teaching and professional services staff in developing the necessary skills to successfully shape their institution’s digital transformation\, and in doing so provide better guidance to their students in navigating the global digital landscape;\nproviding teaching and support staff based at European higher education institutions with flexible ways for sharing digital resources and good practices geared towards continuous professional development.\n\n  \n
