DESCRIPTION:A series of strategic conversations to share experience and shape practice as we step beyond our emergency move to Responsive Blended Learning to a ‘new normal’. \nThis event will comprise a series of strategic conversations to share experience and shape practice as we step beyond our emergency move to Responsive Blended Learning to a ‘new normal’. \nStage One: Celebrate Our Student’s Success (12/11/2021) \nA two-hour online event with keynote speaker: Professor Alejandro Armellini\, Dean of Digital and Distributed Learning\, University of Portsmouth. This online event will be followed by three 30-minute\, themed workshops. Staff from across the three campuses of TU Dublin will share ideas and tips on innovative practice relating to: \n\nvaluing student engagement online\nincreasing engagement through extracurricular events\ninnovative technology use for teaching and assessment.\n\nA Plenary Panel Session will focus on the student T&L experience during and post- pandemic where a selection of cross-faculty students will share their learnings. \nStage Two: How teaching and learning can be collectively enhanced for business disciplines provision in the Technological University Dublin (19/11/2021) \nThis stage will feature online workshops where staff will propose what to take from this experience into our TLA strategy. \nFocus of the event \n\nGathering views and experiences from those who learn\, teach and/or lead on the shift to online/remote learning and considering what has been learned for the future about how teaching and learning can/should be valued\nConsidering the place of teaching and learning in evolving institutional contexts\, e.g.\, in the context of institutional mergers\n\nClick here to register

SUMMARY:Reflecting on How We can Collectively Enhance T&L in Business Disciplines in TU Dublin
DESCRIPTION:Enhancing student engagement and success is at the core of planning for a new blended learning environment\, and Technological University Dublin is aiming for all stakeholders have a voice in the technology and techniques being implemented including staff\, students and professional services. As part of this collaborative process\, you are invited to celebrate and recognize our student’s success in progressing during the pandemic through a series of strategic conversations to share experience and shape our practice as we step beyond our emergency move to Responsive Blended Learning to a ‘new normal’. These conversations will take place over two online events\, with the context being how teaching and learning is valued in the Faculty of Business\, TU Dublin. \nOur second event is ‘Reflecting on How We can Collectively Enhance T&L in Business Disciplines in TU Dublin’ and takes place 19th November\,1.00pm – 3.00pm \nReflective Online Workshop \nTo bring our collective knowledge-sharing forward\, staff from across the Faculty will work together through online breakout rooms to reflect on the experiences presented by the students and identify what\, as a new Faculty\, we can take from this experience into our strategic Teaching\, Learning & Assessment policy. \nThe output of these workshops will allow us to identify the practical actions that really bring learning and teaching to life in Business disciplines for the future\, while allowing staff across the Faculty to network across the Campuses. \nPlenary Session \nThe plenary session to conclude this first series of conversations will allow students from across the faculty business disciplines to share their own experience and learnings both during and post pandemic\, and set out their vision for what success in this space should look like. \nFocus of the event \n\nGathering views and experiences from those who learn\, teach and/or lead on the shift to online/remote learning and considering what has been learned for the future about how teaching and learning can/should be valued\nConsidering the place of teaching and learning in evolving institutional contexts\, e.g.\, in the context of institutional mergers\n\nClick here to register
