What is digital learning?

Digital learning is any type of learning that uses, or is accompanied by technology. It includes, but is not limited to, accessing course materials online, reading e-journals, completing online quizzes, and using time management apps, in addition to online lectures and distance-based learning. Every student engages with digital learning in some way!

Why is it important that I contribute?

This survey is your unique chance to describe your engagement with digital learning so that your institution can optimise your and future students’ educational experience.

Who can contribute?

All students (see participating institutions) who are over 18 and enrolled on taught programmes of study, undergraduate and postgraduate, fulltime, part time or online.

Who is running the survey?

Your institution, with your Students’ Union and some national representative groups, in partnership with the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning have collaborated to conduct this survey.

When will the results be published?

The national results will be published by the National Forum in April/May 2020. Your institution can use its own individual responses straight away to create and implement a new digital teaching and learning policy.

How can I contribute to the survey?

When the survey launches at your institution, you will receive an email from your institution’s Registrar with a link to the survey. The survey is anonymous and easy to complete. You can find out more by clicking on the link below.
