SUMMARY:'Shaping the Future of Immersive Technologies in Education': a one-day symposium on 14th May 2025 in TUS Athlone
DESCRIPTION:The TUS Centre for Pedagogical Innovation and Development (CPID)\, together with colleagues from South East Technological University\, University College Dublin\, Dunboyne College of Further Education\, Munster Technological University and Louth and Meath Education and Training Board\, are hosting a one-day symposium on May 14th\, 2025\, in TUS Athlone on ‘Shaping the Future of Immersive Technologies in Education and Training’\, sponsored\, in part by ReSHAPE and SATLE. \nIf you live and/or work in the Midlands Region (Laois\, Offaly\, Longford and Westmeath) ReSHAPE has offered to fund your place at the symposium. If you are eligible\, please fill out this short ReSHAPE Pre-Registration Form to receive a voucher code. You can use this to register at Shaping the Future of Immersive Technologies in Education and Training  – TUS \nThe event hopes to bring together researchers\, learner practitioners\, students and industry partners to explore the current and future potential of extended reality (XR) applications within an education and training context. \nThe event also hosts a STUDENT COMPETITION\, and we invite you to support final year students to enter their work in one of three categories: \n\nBest social impact project\nBest technical innovation project\nBest aesthetic production project\n\nTo submit an extract and for more information on the student competition please go to CPID Events – TUS \nClosing date is April 30th. \nFor queries please email geraldine.mcdermott@tus.ie .

SUMMARY:Sustainability in the Arts Festival 2025
DESCRIPTION:April 2025 will see the return of SETU’s Sustainability in the Arts Festival\, with this year’s theme being ‘Land\, People\, Culture’. \nThis third edition of the festival promises to be bigger and better than ever\, with events spread across the Wexford\, Waterford and Carlow campuses over the week. \nSETU are thrilled to have recently won the inaugural SATLE Impact Award in the Education for Sustainable Development category. This funding will enables the festival to continue to grow and create further impact in the University and wider community. \nThe festival features a range of multi-disciplinary collaborations from undergraduate and postgraduate students from the fields of Music\, Languages\, English\, Graphic Art\, Visual Art\, Culinary Arts\, Hospitality\, and Internationalisation. The collaborations include multi-media works\, musical performances\, art exhibitions\, research presentations\, and cooking demonstrations\, the purpose of which is to embed sustainability into the culture of the university. \nMore information at SETU | Sustainability in the Arts Festival 2025.
