SUMMARY:Workshop: connecting higher education\, teacher training and schools to advance education for the digital and green transitions
DESCRIPTION:This international peer learning workshop is organised by the OECD Higher Education Policy Team\, in collaboration with the European Commission and Ireland’s National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. The National Forum operates under the aegis of the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and is responsible for leading and advising on the enhancement of teaching and learning in Irish higher education. \nLearning from experiences in Ireland and internationally\, the workshop will examine two questions: \n\nHow can higher education support the integration of digital and green competencies in initial teacher education programmes and activities?\nHow can science communication contribute to fostering a more continual collaboration between teacher education institutions\, higher education and school practitioners?\n\nThe Education and Innovation Practice Community (EIPC) \nThis workshop seeks to contribute to international peer learning in the Education and Innovation Practice Community (EIPC)\, which the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education\, Youth\, Sport and Culture (Unit C.1 – Innovation and EIT) launched in partnership with the OECD (in late 2022). EIPC is a flagship initiative under the European Commission’s New European Innovation Agenda. Please click here to join the EIPC network.
