SUMMARY:Exploring AI in Higher Education with Leon Furze\, creator of AI Assessment Scale
DESCRIPTION:The Learning\, Teaching and Assessment (LTA) team\, in partnership with colleagues in South-East Technological University (SETU)\, is delighted to welcome Leon Furze\, the co-creator of the Artificial Intelligence Assessment Scale and a highly influential voice internationally on GenAI in Teaching and Learning\, to deliver a two-part hybrid webinar series on Exploring AI in Higher Education. \nThe first part\, hosted by TU Dublin\, is taking place on 29 May at 10am\, online (from 10-11) and in-person (from 10-12 in EQ-116 in Grangegorman). The event will be recorded for those unable to attend. The topic for this event is “The AI Assessment Scale in Practice\, Examples from the Disciplines“. SUMMARY:EdTech 2026 Conference
DESCRIPTION:The 25th EdTech conference takes place on Wednesday\, 3 June and Thursday\, 4 June 2026\, at Dublin City University’s (DCU) historic St Patrick’s Campus\, in Drumcondra\, Dublin\, Ireland. Hosted by the Irish Learning Technology Association (ILTA)\, the conference co-chairs are Dr Rob Lowney from the DCU Teaching Enhancement Unit and Kate Molloy\, PhD scholar in the DCU School of STEM Education\, Innovation and Global Studies. \nThe theme is “EdTech You: Digital learning from how to who” – that aims to centre and celebrate the people of EdTech as well as the work they do. \nThe conference website contains a timeline of key dates\, as well as details of the three keynote speakers – Dr Abeba Birhane\, Dr Ben Williamson and Prof Felicitas Macgilchrist – and other general conference information\, such as the call for abstracts and registration details. \nAbstract proposals can be submitted via ConfTool before the deadline for: \n\nPractitioner papers\nResearch papers\nGasta (lightning) talks\nPosters\nWorkshops\nDoctoral roundtable\n\nThe EdTech Conference brings together educators\, researchers\, technology and student support staff\, and industry professionals to share and explore the use of technology in education. It provides an opportunity to present your research and projects and develop new collaborations and contacts.
