“Common Concerns and Strategies for Transitioning to Online Teaching”

Most faculty members who have considered teaching online have a long list of questions. Two questions are foremost on instructor’s minds when transitioning from the face-to-face to online classroom: Will the quality be the same? and How much time will this take? Typically these and other questions can become barriers for instructors considering the transition.
Anxiety about this transition is understandable. There are plenty of challenges in online teaching. Knowing the “pain points” when moving from one learning space to the other can greatly reduce the stress of the process. This session will help identify the common concerns instructors have when considering teaching an online class as well as share strategies for overcoming the barriers.
