Carol Evans

Position: Professor in Higher Education at the University of Southampton, UK

pictureceCarol Evans is a Professor in higher education at the University of Southampton, UK. She is a National Teaching Fellow and Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and secretary for the Committee of the Association of National Teaching Fellows, UK. She is also the Vice President, UK of the International Federation of National Teaching Fellows.  She is the Editor of Higher Education Pedagogies Journal and an Associate Editor of the British Journal of Educational Psychology. She is a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Education, University of London, UK. She is a HEA associate and member of the HEA Assessment Strategy Group.

Philip Winn

Position: Professor of Neuroscience and Head of the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences.

pWinnPhilip Winn is Professor of Neuroscience and Head of the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences. He is a psychology graduate of the University of Hull and spent much of his career at the University of St Andrews, where he was Dean of the Faculty of Science from 2005 to 2007 and Vice-Principal (Learning & Teaching) from 2007 to 2009. In these roles he was a member of the Universities Scotland Learning and Teaching Committee and SHEEC, and has experience as an ELIR reviewer. In 2010 he moved to the University of Strathclyde, first as Deputy Principal (Strategy) with responsibility for developing the University Strategic Plan through to 2015. Having completed this, he took over as Head of the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences in April 2011. He has recently joined the QAA board in the UK and is chair of QAA Scotland.

Jack Leahy

Position: Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance at the Union of Students in Ireland
download (5)Jack Leahy is currently serving a second term as Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance at the Union of Students in Ireland (2017/18).  He is a member of the Board of the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.   Working in partnership with the National Forum, Jack is the lead person on the student-led non-completion research project  ‘Reaching Out” 2015/16.  The ‘Reaching Out’ project focuses on understanding students’ experiences of college and process of leaving college early.  Jack  studied at Trinity College, Dublin, and served in 2013-2014 as a sabbatical officer in the Students’ Union there.

Christian Tauch

Position: Head of the education department of the German Rectors‚ Conference in Bonn

Christian Tauch

Christian Tauch worked at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland and at the European University Institute in Florence/Italy before joining the Technical University of Dresden (Germany) as director of the International Office. From 1995 to 2005 he was head of the international department of the German Rectors Conference in Bonn and from 2006 till 2010 he worked in the higher education unit of the European Commission in Brussels. Since then he is back with the German Rectors‚ Conference, where he is in charge of the education department, dealing inter alia with the implementation of the Bologna Process in German higher education institutions, qualifications frameworks, the shift from teaching to learning‚ how to increase completion rates in HE, cooperation with employers‚ associations on higher education issues, etc.

Agnieszka Mrozek

Position: Head of the Office of Education at Lodz University of Technology; vice-president of the university Board for Quality of Education.

Picture1ag2Agnieszka’s life and professional career is connected to Lodz and Lodz University of Technology. She graduated 1991  on master level in Chemical Technology and completed doctoral thesis in 1997 in Chemistry. In 2015 graduated post diploma studies on quality management at higher education.

1993-2016 academic teacher and researcher at the Faculty of Chemistry.

2008-2016 vice-dean for education and students affairs responsible for teaching and learning quality, cooperation with international partners and industry, and innovative curricula.

From September 2016 the head of the Office of Education at the Lodz University of Technology responsible for education, international staff and student exchange, and international educational projects.

Author of a number of papers on crystallography, drug design, data analysis, and environmental management and a supervisor of bachelor and master projects. Awarded with the medal of  the Commission of National Education for outstanding contribution to education in Poland.
