“All Aboard 2017 are delighted to welcome NAPD as a valued supporter. NAPD’s involvement will bolster the important partnership our higher education institutions will foster with secondary schools participating in this initiative. The NAPD’s endorsement of All Aboard 2017 will encourage maximum participation from Ireland’s secondary schools.”
Commenting for NAPD, Chairperson of its ICT Committee, Donncha O Treasaigh said:
“NAPD is thrilled to promote All Aboard 2017 amongst the post-primary sector, and it is especially timely, given the Department of Education & Skills’ investment in the Digital Strategy. Schools throughout Ireland have received funding, as part of a five-year investment drive, to enrich and enhance how ICT can be embedded into the classrooms and learning of pupils.
NAPD is extremely grateful to All Aboard 2017 for involving it in this exciting and highly beneficial initiative.”
The National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals, is the professional association for second level school leaders in Ireland.
Inaugurated in 1998, NAPD, through its Officers, National Executive and Regional Network provides a united voice for principals and deputy principals on issues of common concern across all three second level sectors. NAPD is a respected education partner represented on relevant local, regional and national bodies both statutory and non-statutory.
The Association represents the views of Principals and Deputy Principals to the Department of Education and Skills and shows leadership in the formulation of education policy. The key priority is to enable the principal and deputy to be the leader of learning in their school.
NAPD is dynamic, pro-active and outward looking. Members of NAPD are also members of the European School Heads Association and the International Confederation of Principals.
